The G9 II combines its new body design, vastly improved autofocus system, fantastic stabilization and improved resolution and noise performance to provide an enticing option for hybrid shooters. We particularly love the inclusion of the new LEICA Monochrome colour profile that gives JPEG files brilliant tonality and contrast straight out-of-camera.

The camera serves as a great option for a variety of shooters, including but not limited to:

Wildlife photographers, who will appreciate the smaller overall package size when compared to similarly performant full-frame cameras. Phase-detect AF with great animal tracking in combination with speedy burst shooting and pre/post recording means that wildlife shooters will never miss the perfect shot.

Street photographers, who will be able to silently capture shots of people and buildings with fast and accurate AF, compose high-resolution, print-ready shots with the handheld sensor-shift 100MP mode and export JPEGs with excellent tonality and depth thanks to the new Leica Monochrome colour profile.

Single-shooter filmmakers, who can leverage the high-end video features brought over from the GH6 like 5.8K Open-Gate recording, native anamorphic lens support and external SSD recording via the USB-C port. For all but the most intensive video projects, or for scenes with very little available light, the G9 II fits the bill for up-and-coming video creators.
