Sony is once again bringing premium camera features to more affordable models. Introducing the latest additions to their lineup: the Sony A7C II priced at $2,999.99 and the Sony A7C R priced at $4,099.99. These two compact mirrorless siblings share a striking resemblance in terms of appearance and functionality, differing mainly in their sensor resolutions. This dynamic camera duo follows in the footsteps of the well-received A7C from 2020. Scheduled for a September release, they will be accompanied by the new Sony FE 16–35mm f/2.8 II ultrawide zoom lens, available at $3,099.99. - 10% smaller and 20% lighter than the previous 16-35mm F2.8 GM
- Improved corner-to-corner sharpness
- Reduced chromatic aberration
- Improved close-up performance (22cm minimum focus distance)
- 15 lens elements in 12 groups
- Added aperture control ring, ability to switch between smooth and clicked stops.
- Minimal focus breathing for video, with compatibility for Focus Breathing Correction on select camera models.
