by |

We’ve hosted a plethora of exciting events in our McBain classroom already, but in some cases, we like to hit the pavement and explore the world! While there’s a time and place for the cozy winter vibes, there’s a whole world out there waiting to be explored, and we want you to experience it all!

Leading our next adventure in Salsbury Greenhouse at St.Albert’s Enjoy Center is celebrated macro photographer Dara Ojo. A conservation advocate based in Edmonton, his work highlights the beauty and ecological significance of arthropods, challenging public perceptions through striking imagery. Ojo has led exhibitions at the Art Gallery of Alberta and has reached thousands through workshops and public engagements. With coverage from major media outlets, including CTV, CBC, Global News, and an upcoming PBS documentary, Dara brings expertise and a strong public presence to his instruction.

Dara will walk you through a world of wonder with this hands-on workshop crafted for nature enthusiasts and photography lovers. He’ll teach you to capture the delicate details of arthropods and insects learning how to play with natural light to create striking, unforgettable compositions. Whether you're just beginning your photography journey or a seasoned pro, this session will inspire you to see the world through a whole new lens.
