We always love summer. The energy is high, but time seems to slow down just enough to let us breathe deeper, look closer, and create more freely. There’s an unmistakable energetic shift creatively where photographers, both seasoned and new, seem to tap into something spontaneous and more fluid. That shift was beautifully reflected in the submissions for our June Monthly Photo Contest.
From dramatic wildlife encounters to high-speed sports action, June’s entries captured the essence of the season with a ton of heart.

With wings outstretched and razor-sharp claws extended, this great gray owl touched down on a post right in front of me—an unforgettable moment of precision and power in complete silence.”
Captured on her new Canon R5 Mark II with a 100-500mm lens, Kathy’s photo amazed us with its timing, composition, and quiet intensity. It’s a breathtaking reminder of the wild beauty that surrounds us—if we’re lucky enough (and quick enough!) to catch it.
