InFocus Photo Exhibit Explores “The Space Between”

As Edmontonians, I don’t have to tell you how uniquely spoiled we are to have such a passionate and dedicated arts community. Our little city punches far above its weight when it comes to presenting and sharing inspiring local and international art. It’s a great place for a camera store like ours to have a home base, where we can support amazing events like the upcoming InFocus Photo Exhibit.

Now in its 12th year, InFocus Photo invites photographers from across the globe to explore unique artistic themes in photography. This year’s theme is “The Space Between,” that challeged photographers to celebrate the hidden threads that bind us all together. The InFocus Photo website explains:

The photographs in this exhibition challenge, question, and illuminate the liminal: the emotional gaps, the silent pauses, the overlooked details, and the beauty that exists in uncertainty and temporality. The photographs are expansive and contemplative, leaning towards those things that can’t be explained, only felt. This multi-venue exhibition presents visual poetry.

The exhibit runs from February 2nd to April 30th at three venues in Edmonton and Stony Plain. There are also two free events you won’t want to miss! There will be an Opening Party at Wild Skies Gallery in the Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel on the evening of February 3rd (7-9pm) and an Open House at Stony Plain’s Red Brick Common on February 7th (1-3pm).

Visit infocusphoto.ca for all the details. We highly recommend checking out this amazing collection of inspired photography.
